License Plates: Many states require you to remove the license plates before you sell your vehicle. Check your state’s requirements, or ask us when you schedule your pickup. If plates need to go back to the DMV, that’s on you after the sale.

Keys: If you have them, great. Hand them over with the car. If you’ve lost the keys, that’s okay too. We can still pick up and pay for vehicles without keys. Just let us know ahead of time.

After the Pickup

The frame gets crushed and recycled: Once all usable parts and fluids are removed, the remaining shell is crushed and sent to metal recyclers. The steel and other metals are melted down and repurposed for new products, from construction materials to new vehicles.
